Relax in Bed and Breakfast style
Manoir Montdidier, reborn out of a slumber during the Great Wars up until recent times, has again found its historical spirit and charm of country gentry living. Renovated in authentic style and with noble materials, this manor house is a proud representation of life in the 18th & 19th centuries. Rooms are furnished with the finest linens and period antiques and have antique-style slipper tubs and Italian showers. Guests are invited to peruse the literature of Lamartine, Molière or Flaubert in the Gentleman’s Library with its collection of curiosities, play a game of chess in the Grand Salon, select a bottle of fine Burgundy from the extensive wine cellar or simply relax next to the heated pool and jacuzzi. Stroll through gardens along pebbled paths surrounded by rolling hillsides. Take a walk up to the village with its 12th century Romanesque church, tour the medieval town of Cluny or visit one of the many chateaux in the region. Montdidier is located between the famous vineyards of Beaujolais and Mâconnais. Take lunch in the Tea Salon of the Manoir or dine in one of the many regional restaurants. Manoir Montdidier is a romantic place, a place for adults, a place where history, architecture, flora and fauna come together in harmony and beauty.
We are unable to accept children under the age of 16.
